The Detox Diet
A detox can promote your physical condition right away and in the long run. Before starting this type of diet it’s important to know how to safely proceed, or you could do more harm than good.
Throughout our lives we are confronted with chemicals, poisons and viruses, in our homes, in the street, and at work. The chemicals are drawn into our body through the air we breathe, and the food we eat. The North American diet is unhealthy. It is made up of processed foods, damaging fats, and sugar substitutes, also the healthy foods have been sprayed with chemicals in order to give a longer shelf life
Medical research has shown that even though we have our own detox system in our body it simply can’t break down and eliminate all the chemicals that we ingest, and so these toxins continue to mount up in our blood, fat cells, liver, brain, and colon. Being stored in the body for any length of time causes problems with health, and heightening obesity.
What can a detox do?
Today’s market provides a multitude of detox diets. The idea is to rid toxins altogether. A detox such as this works in two ways. There are lots of detoxifying agents for different parts of the body, for example to detoxify the liver and flush out the renal system, one might use liver salts, other types come from herbs, and have a far reaching effect to a body cleanse. Secondly, a diet like this means a drastic reduction in processed foods, drinking mineral water, and consuming more fruit and veg. The best way to do this is by using organic foods, which are high in nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants, important for detoxifying the body and keeping it that way. The food’s you eat should also be high in fiber, and you need to take in plenty of water, to help draw out toxins from the body.
Toxins that populate the body can lead to an impaired immune system resulting in poor health. Some signs of body burden include bad breath, poor skin, indigestion, muscle pain, and fatigue.
People who have used a detox formula, become healthier all round, digestion and bowel movements improve significantly. Detox diets provide two important benifits, one is the increased in energy, and second, the chances of disease are reduced.
Side Effects
Headaches are often the result of caffeine withdrawal, and are the most common side effect experienced in the first couple of days. Diarrhea, weight loss, and tiredness, are signs of side effects. If symptoms get worse or don’t subside, you should stop using the product and visit your family doctor
Pregnant women, children, and those who are anemic, or have diabetes, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or who have a terminal illness should not use a detoxifying product.
