1. Crash dieting will cause stomach ulcers. Although you don’t eat, your stomach will continue to produce digestive acids and grind upon itself. The food normally stays in your stomach for about 6 hours. When you do not eat anything within that time frame, your stomach will still be active. The result would be stomach ulcers. Stomach ulcers are very painful because they are actually wounds in your stomach. If you just exercise and eat a balanced meal every time, you’ll lose weight in a healthy, ulcer-free way.

2. Crash dieting causes bad breath and corroded teeth. Some crash dieters induce vomiting after eating. The digestive juices from your stomach will damage the lining of your teeth. This will result to stained dentures. In the long run, the protective coat of your teeth will be corroded. The bacteria that would grow in your cavities will eventually lead to having bad breath. Instead of having this, why not exercise and have good smelling breath and sparkling teeth? In a way, crash dieting would just be like trying to solve a problem by making another one.

3. Crash dieting medications may have side effects. Have you heard of slimming capsules or colon blowers? These are wide-spread nowadays and it makes the interest of people in exercise go away because they think that taking slimming medications is the fastest and easiest way to lose weight. The fact is, exercise is better because you wouldn’t have to suffer the side effects that these medications have. Although some claim that they got this from a natural source, still exercise would be more health-friendly by a long shot.

Since people are too busy with work, they find no time to go to the gym to exercise. The good news is, you don’t have to crash diet if you don’t have the time to go to the gym. You can actually do your weight loss exercises at home when you have your own home fitness equipment. You can do miles on a treadmill, sets with your dumbbells, and many more.
