How to coach soccer
When it comes to a simple thought like how to coach soccer, almost everyone gets into a spree of finding am appropriate reply. All said and done, soccer coaching is a daunting task and calls for a great deal of patience and skill on the part of a coach to keep the players motivated.
I wish to give to you 5 easy yet effective tips that have the potential to better your team’s performance with time.
1. Always plan comprehensively: Your planning should be careful and detailed for you to succeed in coaching young players. Before deciding on anything, sit and have discussions with your players, set your goals and objectives as well as the timelines. The team’s progress is affected when the timelines are not met and desired results are not realized.
Once the plan is finalized, remain loyal to it but do keep some space for minor changes as and when required. No matter how well made the plans may be they need changes due to sudden events.

2. Practice sessions should be a whole lot of fun: Boring and repetitive training drills are bound to bring down the enthusiasm of young players when performed regularly. You can practice this rule in lot many ways. For example: encourage players to participate in games and activities for some time after practice so as to develop a feeling of team spirit in them.
3. Freedom and Discipline should be exercised together: For a coach, discipline in the team should always be a priority. Nonetheless, the fact that it is freedom form unnecessary control that motivates the kids to religiously follow the rules. Don’t underestimate the value of freedom and relaxation in teaching soccer.
Permit players some time for them to indulge, relax, or simply unwind. Talking about how to coach soccer, it is also a good idea to take them out for camping or a pleasure trip for a day.
4.Always be supportive and tolerant: Encourage your team to try new things and when you do so, also be tolerant of the mistakes that they make in the process. Keep a close watch on their activities. If you must intervene to correct a potential blunder or a silly mistake, do it without reprimanding them.
Know that when you punish, the players get distraught while being compassionate and encouraging leads to good ideas and positive energy.
5. Balance things: It is in training sessions that kids get to know about their soccer skills and inherent talent. It is accepted that all the players in a team are different ranging from the best to the worst. It is a part of your job to make sure that the best players take it upon themselves to improve the performance of the poor ones.
Make the best and bad players pals so that they share tips and techniques while in a session and also after it. It is crucial that you do not make any sort of comparison between the players ever.
