Muay Thai Boxing strengthens Activities Fund Destination in Thailand
Fight to become a leading international destination in Asia, Sports just became more severe as the Phuket International Academy of Sport and Recreation Club (PIASLC) called the former champion of Muay Thai "Thanootong''Prasert Intanoo control of the military art was shown to Phuket, Thailand Sports Center. Just as muay thai boxing demands perseverance and expertise, the move is another example of the PIASLC bringing in top professionals to work at the emerging high-quality facility and help position it as the leading sports and leisure destination in Asia.
The Phuket International Academy Sports and Leisure Club (PIASLC) complex has programmes attractive to just about anyone including Olympic class athletes, residents, visitors and school kids. Swimming, track, rugby, football (soccer), strength training, tennis and much more are on offer now or arriving soon at what is emerging as the standard as a regional hub for sports, arts and wellness in Thailand and Asia, and perhaps the world.
The PIASLCis organized into specialized sports academies. The new additionof Prasert Intanoo should push the Martial Arts Academy to international attention. The PIA Aquatics Academy and the Football Academy have already established themselves as premier programmes. The Aquatic Academy offers the general public, local schools and community groups, national and international teams, special swimming programmes, water polo squads, a variety of aquatic events and activities. Now Muay Thai joins the preeminent youth soccer training programme offered at the finest sports and recreation facility in Southeast Asia.
Former Thailand national flyweight champ Khun Prasert was a Muay Thai professional boxer for 15 years with an notable 70 wins to his name. He graduated from Taksin University in Songkhla Province with a degree in physical education. He went on to work for the Marriott hospitality group as a Muay Thai trainer, and in his position as Recreation Supervisor directed wellness, corporate teambuilding and kid’s zone activities. Khun “Nok” (his Thai nickname) is also a certified Pilates instructor and certified by the Thai Yoga Institute as a teacher.
The PIASLC is part of the Phuket International Academy (PIA).
