I was out for almost a year, and recently I came across a few shocking photos online smoker's lungs. They were dark gray, almost black and looked just awful. So my question at the end of the year did not smoke, I have a light cleaning and they are back in the pink? and how long will it take? (I smoked 6 years before going out) Thank you.
lungs begin to heal within a year, and they tend to be treated in about 5 years, and also, if your work is not very high dust like asbestos or something chemical (factory work)
and good luck at the exit, many of them not as "strong" as you.
